mix1® Beverage Company Sponsors Boulder Velo Racing

BOULDER, Colo. (Jan. 24, 2008) – mix1® beverage company, an emerging leader in the functional beverage category, announced today it is renewing its title sponsorship of the local Boulder Velo Racing team - a masters men's road racing team with a primary focus on the 35+ and 45+ categories. Committed to promoting the sport of cycling in the Boulder community, Boulder Velo Racing will now race under the team name “mix1 Racing.”

2007 was mix1 Racing’s inaugural year that resulted in the team capturing the season-long “Best All-Around Team” (BAT) award for the State of Colorado in Senior Men’s 3’s. While cycling is a team sport, this accomplishment was boosted, at least in part by the success of Derek Hutton and Marcel Van Garderen, who earned first and third-place respectively in the “Best All-Around Rider” (BAR) competition for the year. Overall the team stepped on the podium 34 times throughout the 2007 season.
